Natural Face Moisturiser and Face Cream for Every Skin Type

Looking for the best moisturiser for skin that feels tight by lunchtime and shiny by three? You're far from alone. Most of us own a few half-used jars because a label can't tell you how a cream will feel on your face at 4 pm. The answer is usually in how your skin behaves on an ordinary day, and that makes choosing much easier. We make three face creams, one for each range. Our Brightening cream with turmeric helps a dull, uneven complexion look brighter. For skin that feels tight and dry, our Hydrating cream with sandalwood restores that soft, comfortable feel. And if you shine by mid-afternoon, our Oil Control cream with neem and tea tree sinks in fast and feels light all day. Each one is a moisturiser you can use morning and evening, made in the UK and dermatologically tested.

Which of Our Face Creams Is Right for You?

The best face cream for you depends on how your skin feels an hour after washing. That tells you more than any skin quiz.

Why Choose Our Natural Moisturisers?

  • One cream for each skin type. Choose the one that matches your skin most days, and swap as the seasons change.
  • Plant oils and butters, no mineral oil. We build every cream on cold-pressed plant oils and butters such as shea, cocoa, jojoba and argan, so your skin feels soft without a greasy film.
  • Vegan, tested and made in the UK. All three creams are dermatologically tested and made here in the UK, and each is a PETA-certified, cruelty-free vegan moisturiser.
  • Award-winning. Our Brightening cream was Highly Commended at the Universal Beauty Awards 2025 (Best Anti-Blemish Cream), and our Hydrating cream won Silver at the Global Makeup Awards 2020 (Best Face Cream).
  • Ready-made pairs. We team each cream with its matching face wash in a Duo, and add a toner for a Trio, in our skincare sets.

How Does Our Brightening Cream Help Skin Look Brighter?

It's the only cream in our range with Tetrapeptide-30, a clinically evaluated peptide. In clinical studies, tested alongside the same stable vitamin C we use, it visibly reduced the look of dark marks and helped skin tone look more even. The cream also contains CO2-extracted turmeric, another clinically evaluated active. After eight weeks of twice-daily use, skin tone looked noticeably more even and more radiant. Give it six to eight weeks, with sunscreen every morning, to see how your skin responds. If a patch of pigmentation is new, changing or worrying you, your GP or pharmacist is the best first stop.

How to Use Your Moisturiser, Step by Step

Your cream goes on last, after washing and toning. In the morning, sunscreen follows on top.

StepWhenHow
1. CleanseMorning and eveningWash with our natural face wash and pat your skin almost dry, so it's still slightly damp.
2. ToneMorning and eveningSweep a face toner over your skin with a cotton pad or your palms, keeping clear of your eyes.
3. MoisturiseMorning and eveningWarm a pea-sized amount between your fingertips and press it into your face and neck with upward strokes.
4. SunscreenEvery morningGive your cream a minute to sink in, then add a broad-spectrum SPF. The Oil Control cream label recommends it, and it's just as worthwhile with the Brightening cream. We don't make an SPF, so use one you enjoy wearing.

What Helps Your Moisturiser Work Better?

  • Apply to slightly damp skin. Cream spreads further on skin that's still a little damp, so a small amount goes a long way.
  • A pea-sized amount is plenty. It covers your face and neck. If your skin feels sticky afterwards, use a little less next time.
  • Swap with the seasons. Central heating can leave skin tight from October onwards, and a richer hydrating moisturiser helps you through winter. If your skin feels greasy by mid-afternoon in summer, our lighter Oil Control cream may suit you better until autumn.
  • Try one new product at a time. Give each one a week so you can tell what your skin likes. All our creams contain essential oils, so a quick patch test on your inner arm first is a good habit.
  • Start from how your skin feels. If it's flaky and rough, our picks for moisturiser for dry skin are a good place to begin. If it reacts to almost everything, browse our moisturiser for sensitive skin range.

Shop our natural face creams above. If your skin looks flat and tired, our glow face cream routine for dull skin brings the whole Brightening range together, and you'll find scrubs, washes and face masks in our skincare hub.

Nut allergy note: some of our face creams contain oils and butters from nuts. Our Hydrating Face Cream contains babassu oil, our Brightening Face Cream contains argan, kukui and shea, and our Oil Control Face Cream contains shea. If you have a nut allergy, please check the full ingredient list on each product page before use.

FAQ

What are the benefits of moisturiser?

Moisturiser helps your skin retain water, so it feels soft and comfortable throughout the day. It also smooths the surface, which helps make-up and sunscreen apply evenly. Used daily, it keeps skin feeling supple, no matter your skin type.

When to apply moisturiser?

Twice a day, after cleansing and toning. In the morning, apply it before sunscreen and make-up. In the evening, apply it last before bed.

How to moisturise your face properly?

Start with clean, slightly damp skin. Warm a pea-sized amount between your fingertips, press it into your cheeks, forehead and chin, then sweep upwards and finish on your neck. Our creams are made for your face and neck. We don't make a separate eye cream, so keep it off your eyelids.

Is a face cream the same as a face moisturiser?

Pretty much. 'Moisturiser' describes the job, and 'face cream' usually means a slightly thicker texture. All three of ours are creams. Our Hydrating cream is the richest, and our Oil Control cream is light enough for skin that gets shiny.

Do I need a moisturiser if my skin is oily?

Yes. Skipping it tends to leave skin feeling tight, and the shine comes back anyway. A light cream that sinks in fast, like our Oil Control cream, keeps skin comfortable without feeling heavy. Our moisturiser for oily skin page has the full routine, and if breakouts are the main worry, see our range for acne-prone skin.

Can a moisturiser help with dark spots or fine lines?

Our Brightening Face Cream helps fade the look of dark spots with daily use and sunscreen every morning. Any good moisturiser also softens the look of fine lines, because well-moisturised skin looks smoother and plumper. Our skincare for wrinkles brings together the creams and toners we recommend.
