Benefits

Deep Cleanses Oily and Congested Skin

Multani Mati has been used for generations as a natural clay face mask to deeply cleanse the skin. It helps lift away excess oil, dirt and daily impurities that can build up in pores, leaving your skin feeling clean, fresh and comfortably balanced.

Helps Control Excess Oil and Shine

If your skin becomes oily throughout the day, Multani Mati helps absorb excess sebum without leaving the skin feeling tight or over-dry. Regular use helps reduce unwanted shine, making it ideal for oily and combination skin.

Helps Leave Pores Feeling Cleaner

Used as a face pack, Multani Mati helps draw out impurities from the skin's surface while removing excess oil that can contribute to clogged pores. Skin feels deeply cleansed, smoother and noticeably refreshed after each use.

Refreshes Dull, Tired-Looking Skin

Dead skin cells, excess oil and daily pollution can leave your complexion looking dull. Multani Mati helps leave the skin feeling fresh and revitalised, revealing a cleaner, brighter and healthier-looking complexion.

A Traditional Ayurvedic Clay Face Mask

Known as Fuller's Earth, Multani Mati has been used in Ayurvedic skincare for centuries. Blend it with Neem & Tulsi Powder, Rose Petal Powder or Centella (Gotu Kola) Powder to create face masks tailored to oily, dry or sensitive skin.
How to Use

As a Face Mask

  1. Mix 2–3 tablespoons of Multani Mati Clay Powder with water, rose water or aloe vera gel to form a smooth paste.
  2. For dry skin, blend with yoghurt or honey. For oily or blemish-prone skin, mix with Neem & Tulsi Powder.
  3. Apply an even layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye area.
  4. Leave on for 10–15 minutes or until almost dry.
  5. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and gently pat the skin dry.
  6. Follow with a moisturiser to help keep skin feeling soft and comfortable.

Recommended Use

  • Use 1–2 times a week as part of your regular skincare routine.
  • Blend with Rose Petal Powder for dry skin or Centella (Gotu Kola) Powder for sensitive skin to create personalised Ayurvedic face masks.
Safety Precautions
  • For external use only.
  • Always carry out a patch test before first use.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • Do not apply to broken, irritated or infected skin.
  • If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately.
  • As Multani Mati naturally absorbs excess oil, always apply a moisturiser after use, especially if you have dry or sensitive skin.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and keep the pouch tightly sealed after opening.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.

FAQ

What is Multani Mati (Multani Mitti) used for?

Multani Mati, also known as Multani Mitti or Fuller's Earth, is a natural mineral-rich clay traditionally used to create deep-cleansing face masks and face packs. It helps absorb excess oil, remove daily impurities and leave skin feeling clean, fresh and refreshed.

Is Multani Mati good for oily skin?

Yes. Multani Mati is especially popular for oily and combination skin because it helps absorb excess sebum without harsh cleansing. Regular use can help reduce unwanted shine and leave the skin feeling balanced and refreshed.

How do I use Multani Mati as a face mask?

Mix 2–3 tablespoons of Multani Mati with water, rose water or aloe vera gel to form a smooth paste. Apply an even layer to clean skin, leave on for 10–15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Follow with a moisturiser.

Can Multani Mati help with clogged pores?

Multani Mati helps remove excess oil, dirt and surface impurities that can build up on the skin. Used regularly as part of your skincare routine, it leaves the skin feeling deeply cleansed and pores feeling cleaner.

Can I mix Multani Mati with other Ayurvedic powders?

Yes. Multani Mati blends well with Neem & Tulsi Powder for oily and blemish-prone skin, Rose Petal Powder for dry skin and Centella (Gotu Kola) Powder for sensitive skin, allowing you to create face masks suited to your skin's needs.

Is Multani Mati suitable for sensitive skin?

Multani Mati can be used on many skin types, but because it is highly absorbent it may not be suitable for very dry or highly sensitive skin on its own. If you have sensitive skin, try blending it with Centella (Gotu Kola) Powder or Rose Petal Powder and always carry out a patch test before first use.

How often should I use a Multani Mati face mask?

Most people use a Multani Mati face mask once or twice a week. This is usually enough to help keep oily and combination skin feeling clean and refreshed without over-drying.

Is Multani Mati the same as Fuller's Earth?

Yes. Multani Mati, also known as Multani Mitti, is commonly referred to as Fuller's Earth. It is a naturally occurring clay that has been used in traditional skincare for generations to create face masks and face packs.
