    Benefits

    Reduces Visible Flakes

Laboratory-tested in vitro against Malassezia furfur, a yeast associated with dandruff-prone scalps. Used twice weekly, it helps reduce visible flakes and leaves the scalp looking cleaner.

    Deep-Cleanses Oily Roots and Build-Up

Neem and Tea Tree oil clear away the excess oil, product residue and hard water minerals that leave roots greasy and congested. Build-up is one of the things that keeps flaking coming back, so lifting it matters as much as anything else in the routine.

    Cools an Itchy Scalp

Menthol cools on contact, which is the part you feel straight away. Underneath that, clearing the build-up and excess sebum is what stops the itch returning between washes.

    Silicone-Free, So Nothing Builds Up

Silicones coat the hair shaft and accumulate over time. On a flake-prone scalp that is the last thing you want, because build-up traps oil. This formula is silicone-free and paraben-free.

    Cleanses Without Leaving Hair Stripped

Plenty of anti-dandruff shampoos leave hair squeaky and rough, which is why people abandon them. A balanced cleansing system with Moringa and Panthenol means the scalp gets properly cleaned and the lengths stay soft.
    How to Use

    1. Wet
hair thoroughly with warm water, from roots to ends.

    2. Pour
a small amount into your palm and lather between your hands before applying to
    the scalp.

    3. Massage
the scalp with your fingertips, not your nails, for a full minute. Contact time
    is what makes the difference.

    4. Rinse
thoroughly until hair feels clean and free of product.

    5. Follow
with Ayumi Anti-Dandruff Scalp Conditioner from mid-length to ends.

    FAQ

How do I get rid of dandruff?

Consistency beats intensity. Use an anti-dandruff shampoo two to three times a week, give it a full minute of scalp massage before rinsing, and condition the lengths so you do not give up on the routine. Most people see a clear difference in two to four weeks. The mistake is stopping the moment it improves, because dandruff is managed rather than cured.

How often should I wash my hair if I have dandruff?

Two to three times a week while you are getting flakes under control, then once or twice to keep them there. Washing less often does not help, because the oil and build-up that feed flaking simply sit there longer. If your scalp starts feeling tight, ease off rather than stopping altogether.

    Does anti-dandruff shampoo actually work?

Yes, when you use it properly. Ours showed a 69.7% in vitro reduction of Malassezia furfur, a yeast associated with dandruff-prone scalps, within five minutes of contact in independent laboratory testing. The most common reason people think a shampoo has not worked is not leaving it on long enough. Give it a full minute of scalp massage before rinsing.

    How does anti-dandruff shampoo work?

It works on two fronts. Tea Tree oil and Neem act on the yeast that lives on scalp oils, and the clarifying base lifts away the excess oil and build-up that yeast feeds on. Deal with one and not the other and the flaking tends to come back.

Can anti-dandruff shampoo cause hair loss?

Not directly. Shampoos work on the scalp surface rather than the follicle. Scratching an itchy scalp does more damage than washing it does, so getting the itch under control protects your hair. If shedding continues once the flaking has settled, speak to your GP, as hair loss has plenty of unrelated causes.

Is anti-dandruff shampoo bad for your hair?

Some are harsh enough to leave hair dry and rough, which is where the reputation comes from. Ours uses a balanced cleansing system with Moringa and Panthenol, so the scalp gets properly cleaned while the lengths stay soft. Following with conditioner on the mid-lengths and ends keeps things balanced.

How do I get rid of scalp build-up?

Build-up is styling residue, hard water minerals and old conditioner sitting on the scalp, and it feeds flaking. A clarifying wash lifts it away. If your hair feels heavy or goes greasy sooner than it used to, that is usually build-up talking.

How much shampoo should I use?

A ten pence piece for short hair, a fifty pence piece for long. Lather it between your palms first so it spreads across the scalp rather than landing in one spot. Using more does not clean better, it just takes longer to rinse out.

Can I use it every day?

You can, though most people do not need to. Two to three washes a week suits the majority while flakes settle, and oilier scalps may want more. If your scalp starts feeling tight, that is your signal to ease off.

Is it suitable for curly or textured hair?

Yes. It suits straight, wavy, curly and textured hair. Curly and coily hair is often drier through the lengths, so follow with the conditioner from mid-length down and do not skip it.
